Speakers: 

• A/Prof Narinder Singh: Associate Professor Narinder Singh is a Rhinologist, Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at  The University of Sydney and Head of Department, Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at  Westmead Hospital, Sydney. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed publications, university  textbooks and book chapters and has given over 200 guest and keynote presentations at  international scientific meetings. His team has received major grants from the Australian Research  Council, the Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Memorial Foundation and Microsoft as well as  major research funding from ResMed, Optinose, GSK and ENT Technologies. A/Prof Singh has an  extensive background in nasal polyposis and biologics; his thesis topic in the labs of King’s  College, London was “Allergen specific cytokine production in cells derived from human nasal  polyps”. A/Prof Singh was involved in the Phase I trials of biologics for nasal polyposis as part of  his 3-year rhinology fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London; and he was a Principal  Investigator for the Phase III “SYNAPSE” trial that examined the efficacy and safety of  mepolizumab in patients with CRSwNP.
• Professor Brad Frankum: Professor Brad Frankum was President of the Australian Medical Association (NSW) from 2016 to 2017 and Vice-President in 2014 and 2015.  He formerly held positions as Executive Clinical Director at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, and boards member of Southewestern Sydney Local Health District.  He was Chair of the District’s Research and Teaching Committee during his time on the board.  Professor Frankum was formerly the Deputy Dean and Professor of Clinical Education, School of Medicine at Western Sydney University, and Clinical Dean at Macarthur Clinical School.  Prior to this, Professor Frankum had worked across the Local Health District holding a number of positions including Director of Medicine at Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, and Clinical Director of Complex Care, General Practice, and General Medicine.  Professor Frankum is a Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Physicians and was Chair of its Clinical Examination Committee from 2016-2018.  Professor Frankum established the Clinical Immunology and Allergy services at both Nepean and Campbelltown Hospitals.  Professor Frankum is now in full time private specialist practice in Gregory Hills at Brellah Southwest.  He sees patients from infancy to old age across the full spectrum of allergic and immunological diseases.  He has a particular interest in the use of new biological medicines for these diseases and has mor that 420 patients on these agents.  Professor Frankum was awarded an OAM in 2015 for services to medical education and medical administration and was awarded Fellowship of the Australia Medical Association in 2019.
