Theme
Head and Neck Oncology: translating research into practice

The 19th Annual ANZHNCS ASM will this year be in Brisbane, with a focus on what we do well in H+N cancer care, and what we can do better.

International invited guests from Stanford University, Memorial Sloan Kettering and the Netherlands, and local speakers at the forefront of H+N oncology have been encouraged to challenge the status quo with discussions designed to show the cutting edge of H+N Ca treatment.

The meeting programme will have frank and lively discussions of the contentious issues in current management, presentation of research that is driving what we do and why we are doing it, and examining the place of modern technologies (robot, laser, imaging, photons) in efficacious cancer care.

The addition of multi-disciplinary team debates comprising international guests and local experts will be part of our desire to educate in a new format - with debaters encouraged to be entertaining as well as challenging.

A free half-day pre-meeting workshop with the experts will allow small-medium group discussion of difficult cases and provide simplified management paradigms for managing complex cases. All difficult cases are just a combination of multiple small easy steps!

As one of the only true multi-disciplinary meetings, the ANZHNCS ASM provides a unique opportunity for learning and challenging what we do, with many of the planned talks already having potentially practice changing elements. We look forward to seeing you at what will be an interesting and challenging meeting.
