Following the overwhelming success of the first ENT Emergency Surgery Refresher Course, the Royal North Shore OHNS Department in Sydney is proud to offer the course again on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.

The only course of its kind in Australia and New Zealand, aimed at practicing surgeons or returning fellows, it refreshes your ENT Emergency surgery skills in just one day. Each pair of surgeons conducts 16 dissections on high-quality fresh frozen cadavers in 7 hours under the guidance of RNSH OHNS Department experts.

With this course we will revise surgical approaches to common ENT emergencies encountered in practice including the:

  • Neck – Approaches to neck trauma and deep neck space infections.
  • Nose – Lateral canthotomy, external approach to anterior ethmoid, orbital decompression, SPA ligation
  • Ear – Cortical mastoidectomy

This fast-paced course includes 1 hour of refresher lectures followed by hands-on dissection of 4 Necks, 4 Noses, 4 Eyes, and 4 Mastoids.
