The Department 

The Department of Paediatric Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the RCH is expanding to meet the needs of the community. It is the primary provider of Paediatric Otolaryngology services for the states of Victoria and Tasmania, and also eastern South Australia and southern New South Wales.

The role

The team is seeking a full-time Otolaryngology non-accredited Registrar to be involved with all aspects of clinical care including clinics, theatre, ward work and on-call. This will be under full supervision.

The registrar is involved in all aspects of the care of children with conditions of the ear, nose and throat, including attendance in clinic and performing surgery under supervision, as well as care of inpatients and assessment of children in the Emergency Department. The Registrar will be on the after hours and on-call rosters.

To be successful in this role

The successful applicant will be registered as a medical practitioner recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will have an interest in pursuing a career in Otolaryngology.

Essential : Medical qualifications recognised in Australia

Desirable: Previous experience in Otolaryngology
