The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Melbourne is one of the world's great children's hospitals. We are the major specialist Paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
 
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus-wide of over 4500, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care, and health promotion and prevention programmes for children and young people.
 
The Department:
The Department of Paediatric Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the RCH is expanding to meet the needs of the community. It is the primary provider of Paediatric Otolaryngology services for the states of Victoria and Tasmania, and also eastern South Australia and southern New South Wales.
 
The role:
The team is seeking a full-time Paediatric Otolaryngologist with the emphasis on expertise in the assessment and management of children with complex airway diseases. This position will play a leading role in the development of a multidisciplinary Paediatric Airway Centre involving collaboration with other Departments including Paediatric Anaesthesia, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Intensive Care and Neonatal Care.
 
To be successful in this role:
The successful applicant will be an exceptional clinician with extensive experience in the Paediatric Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery sub-specialty 

You will possess excellent clinical skills in Paediatric Otolaryngology, have a special interest in Paediatric airway management and be able to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You must be registered as a medical practitioner  and hold Specialist Otolaryngology registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Selection Criteria
Essential: Medical Degree recognised in Australia
Essential: FRACS (Otolaryngology) or equivalent
Desirable: Previous experience in Paediatric Otolaryngology, e.g. a Fellowship
