This workshop incorporates lectures and practical hands on exposure to laryngeal videostroboscopy from a teaching faculty of Laryngologists and Speech Pathologists.

Participants will learn and refine their endoscopy technique, develop their interpretation skills of laryngeal videostroboscopy and cultivate their multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Learning Objectives
Participants in this course will be able to:

  • Describe the components of normal vocal fold vibration
  • Demonstrate the components of a comprehensive laryngeal videostroboscopic exam
  • Interpret a laryngeal videostroboscopy exam
  • Make a subsequent diagnosis and management recommendations in the multidisciplinary setting
  • Demonstrate basic endoscopic techniques for the use of rigid and flexible laryngeal endoscopy


Who is this event for?
This event is for speech pathologists and Ear, Nose and Throat surgeons working in the area of voice seeking further training in diagnostic stroboscopy.

Please note due to the limited number of places AVA Members will be given priority.

 
Important Information
This course is limited to 24 participants to ensure adequate hands on time for everyone. We anticipate this course will fill quickly and registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Registration includes a course manual and provision of all meals.
